Inspekt is a laboratory specialising in material testing which, in addition to chemical analyses of ferrous materials (pig iron, cast iron, steel, weld metal, welding consumables), analysis of solid fuels and solid biofuels (content of water, ash, volatile components, total sulphur, gross calorific value and calculation of net calorific value), chemical analysis of copper, aluminium and nickel-based materials, chemical and physico-chemical analysis of waste water and boiler water, chemical analysis of slag, ash and deposits on pipes of thermal power plants, Inspekt also carries out mechanical tests.
Mechanical tests include tensile test, hardness test, impact bending test, fracture test, flattening test of pipes, drift test of pipes, ring drift test of pipes, ring tensile test of pipes, ovality test.
Another focus is non-destructive testing (NDT) with the methods radiographic testing – RT, ultrasonic testing – UT, penetrant testing – PT, magnetic particle testing – MT, visual testing – VT, leak testing – LT, ultrasonic thickness measurement – UTT.
